Accounting and tax for logistics and free zone companies in Qatar
Free zone setup, group pricing and audited accounts, planned around how your goods actually move.

Axiom Consultants & Partners · DohaQatar Free Zones next to Hamad International Airport and Hamad Port offer 100% foreign ownership, a renewable 20-year corporate tax holiday and no customs duty on goods brought into the zone unless they are sold into the Qatar market. That does not remove the paperwork, though. Logistics, e-commerce and light manufacturing firms in the zones still need audited accounts, transfer pricing for group transactions and careful customs records.

What logistics and free zone companies need to get right
What do the Qatar Free Zones offer?
100% foreign ownership, a renewable 20-year corporate tax holiday and no customs duty on goods brought into the zone, unless they are sold into the Qatar market. Premises in the zones are leased, not sold.
Do free zone companies still have filing duties?
A tax holiday is not a holiday from bookkeeping. You still need proper accounts, transfer pricing records and any reports your licence or your bank requires. We confirm exactly what applies to your company at the start.
Does transfer pricing apply?
Yes. Transactions with related parties should be at arm's length and documented, even during a tax holiday, because the holiday can end and both the GTA and tax authorities abroad can review group pricing.

Is there VAT on imports into Qatar?
No. Qatar has not introduced VAT. Customs duty and excise tax rules apply.
What is transfer pricing documentation?
A record showing that prices between group companies match what independent parties would charge.
Does the tax holiday mean no paperwork?
No. You still keep proper accounts and records, and we confirm what your licence requires.
